Resources for UC Faculty and Fellows

The IGCC Washington office was established in March 1997 to promote closer ties between UC researchers and the policy community. Based at the University of California's Washington Center on Rhode Island Avenue, NW, IGCC's Washington office seeks to collaborate with the IGCC campus program offices on projects and programs that benefit UC faculty and students through closer links to the policy world. Washington Representative Joseph McGhee and IGCC Development Officer Elisa Lurkis are eager to work with faculty on all campuses to set up activities and events of the types detailed below.

Policy Briefings and Seminars on Faculty Research

Funders have become ever more particular about seeing evidence of dissemination of research results in this time of budget cuts. IGCC can help to develop policy-based colloquia for a Washington, D,C., audience, including key policymakers, government officials, and representatives of NGOs, think tanks, and foundations.

IGCC can generate invitation lists, make logistical arrangements, and assist in making appropriate contacts. Sample language and budgets for use in initial grant proposals. For more information on this initiative, please contact Elisa Lurkis.
