Evaluating Civ-Mil Diplomacy and Development Policies and Strategies During Operation Iraqi Freedom

The Strategic Studies Group presents a talk by Colonel Mark Coast, US Marine Corps Reserve, who will discuss policy and strategy lessons learned from the civilian-military democracy-promotion and humanitarian assistance operations he participated in after four deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Colonel Coast has 30 years of reserve and active duty experience in the US Marines, with multiple operational deployments to countries in austere environments across the globe implementing and creating defense and diplomacy policies, advising high level Pentagon officials and serving as Joint Specialty Officer, Civil Affairs Officer and federal law enforcement officer.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
