Who IGCC Funds
IGCC provides funding for graduate students from all ten UC campuses through its fellowship competitions. It also provides intensive summer training programs in residence at UC San Diego.
IGCC has provided more than 600 fellowships in 35 disciplines and inter-disciplinary programs over more than three decades. These fellowships have supported more than 450 students, enabling them to conduct field work or spend a year focused on writing and polishing their dissertations.
Since 1989, IGCC has provided funding for UC faculty through its grant competitions and by providing seed money to jump-start larger collaborative projects.
Intensive summer training programs in residence at UC San Diego are open to junior faculty, and senior faculty have the opportunity to serve as speakers and mentors for cohorts of up-and-coming young researchers.
