to gain valuable practical experience and contacts for future career
opportunities.
The IGCC program offers a $3,000 living stipend during
a ten-week internship. The award also includes a $500 travel
allowance for roundtrip airfare between California and Washington,
D.C.,
or other travel expenses justified as critical to the internship
project.

and have completed at least one year of their graduate program.
- Pre-dissertation doctoral students are only eligible during
their first or second year.

to the student's academic and/or career objectives.
- Applicants do not need to be returning students.
Internship Placement and Living Arrangements

opportunities with Washington D.C.–based international affairs
organizations. Although the IGCC Washington D.C. Representative
will assist with internship contacts and related arrangements,
final placement responsibility lies with the award recipient. Interns

housing through the University of California Washington Center.
